Interesting. Kind of like a branding exercise for the generations. And each group choosing to be "branded" with the stories they choose. Something that doesn't happen often. Hasn't really happened for race. In some ways the feminists tried to do it with gender.

What I find intersting in the generational issues is we never hear the word "assimilation" that have heard with race, gender and ethnicity. Which I guess is a shows we have gotten somewhere with accepting diversity and trying to understand others.

Great comments, Kim. While I do think we have "gotten somewhere" in terms of accepting diversity, I would probably argue that the lack of calls for assimilation have more to do with the issue of oppression. I am not sure any generation opppresses or has oppressed another generation, which is not true with the haves and have nots around race, gender, and ethnicity.
